Camryn Craddock (edited)

Camryn Craddock

Winner - Pam Little Scholarship

Howe High School

Attending Texas A&M University

Camryn is dedicated to servant leadership. My greatest impact in this pursuit is the Benefit Livestock show I initiated in 2023. I was able to lead this volunteer effort by organizing an annual swine show that has raised $15,000 for local nonprofits to aid with food insecurity. Through our efforts, I, along with a team of volunteers, executed a show in 2023 with 150 pigs shown that raised $6000 for Meals on Wheels of Texoma. In 2024, we increased our donation this time to the Grayson Crisis Center in the amount of $9000. Camryn is committed to maintaining this Swine Show on an annual basis even as attending college. Camryn will pursue a degree in Agricultural Communications & Journalism. Camryn’s essay addressed the challenges President Trump faces in regard to our economy and the impact that farmland and the future lack thereof, impacts our economy. Camryn stressed the importance of farming and farmers and how President Trump is helping to promote common sense policies that will alleviate restrictions and promote a better growing environment. This will produce more food here in the USA and lessen the amount of necessary imports.

Grace James (edited)

Grace James

Winner - Shirley Melton Johnson Scholarship

John Paul II High School

Attending Southern Methodist University

Grace volunteers at Cathy’s Critters, a Hands-on Humane Education Farm. Additionally, she has served at numerous events like Feed My Starving Children, food banks, autism awareness opportunities, and Christmas set up for infant communities like Santa’s Village in Richardson as well as Christmas bazaars for startup businesses. She is a Varsity Softball player. Grace wrote a compelling essay in regard to the negative effects of open borders and the importance of keeping America not only safe, but a level playing field for all who come here and live here and seek to live a lawful and peaceful life.

Naomi O'Connor

Winner - Sue Reeves Scholarship

John Paul II High School

Attending the University of Notre Dame

Naomi initiated a "Teaching Silver," club via a community service project designed to assist seniors with technology. Inspired by her grandparents' technology questions, she recognized that many seniors faced similar struggles. Naomi took the initiative to create a solution. The process involved overcoming challenges like finding club sponsors, gaining access to senior homes, and establishing the club's structure. After overcoming these hurdles, the club grew significantly, expanding to other schools and reaching hundreds of participants thereby impacting many senior citizens. Naomi’s essay pertained to the Border crisis and its impact on everyday Americans. Naomi believes that through President Trump’s leadership and common-sense approach to solving the crises, all Americans will have the opportunity to thrive in a safe environment.
